AbstractThe equivalent circuit and electrical interfacing circuit of agalloping-based piezoelectric flag energy harvester is discussed and the nonlinear synchronized switching technique is used to increase the power.Energy harvesting from ambient is highly focused and by using a cantilever beam to convert the vibration energy is the most popular topics. Except using cantilever beam, piezoelectric flag or plate converted the flow energy has been widely invested. As the interfacing circuit is the important design part to increase the power output, in this paper, several interfacing circuit including standard DC approach, SSHI technique and transformer-based SSHI technique are proposed and compared. Simulations and experimental results show the optimal interfacing circuit in piezoelectric flow energy harveste

This paper demonstrates a new class of bugs that is likely to occur in enterprise OpenFlow deployments. In particular, step-by-step, reactive establishment of paths can cause network-wide inconsistencies or performance- and space-related inefficiencies. The cause for this behavior is inconsistent packet processing: as the packets travel through the network they do not encounter consistent state at the OpenFlow controller. To mitigate this problem, we propose to use transactional semantics at the controller to achieve consistent packet processing. We detail the challenges in achieving this goal (including the inability to directly apply database techniques), as well as a potentially promising approach. In particular, we envision the use of multi-commit transactions that could provide the necessary serialization and isolation properties without excessively reducing network performance.QC 20140707</p

Power consumption has become a critical issue in large scale clusters. Existing solutions for addressing the servers’ energy consumption suggest “shrinking” the set of active machines, at least until the more power-proport-ional hardware devices become available. This paper demonstrates that leveraging the sleeping state, however, may lead to unacceptably poor performance and low data availability if the distributed services are not aware of the power management’s actions. Therefore, we present an architecture for cluster services in which the deployed services overcome this problem by actively participating in any action taken by the power management. We propose, implement, and evaluate modifications for the Hadoop Distributed File System and the MapReduce clone that make them capable of operating efficiently under limited power budgets.QC 20140707</p

The aim of this study was evaluated change of botanical composition and dry matter yield influenced by different fertilizers (control, P60K60, N.60P60K60) and lime (without lime and 1000 kg ha-1 lime) of Danthonietum calycinae grassland type, in central part of Serbia. Nitrogen fertilisation treatments led to an increase of grass species, but also decreased plants from other families. Tretmant P60K60 with lime stimulated an increase of legumes in biomass in first and second year of investigation. Aplication of nitrogen increase forage yield in both years of investigation. Effect of P60K60 tretmans and lime on increasing dry matter yield was observed in second year.

Works presented in this report concerns the problems of electric devices integration in general and passive components integration in particular aiming to carry out the realization of integrated conversion systems. In a first part, the study and the characterization of piezoelectric transformers exhibiting millimetre-length is tackled for supply of fractions of Watts to few Watts applications. This transformer is well adopted to MOSFET & IGBT gate drive circuits integrated on a PCB substrate. This application is fully detailed in the report. In a second part, we have been interested in the problem of integration of piezoelectric micro-transformers in a silicon substrate for supplying micro-systems. We have been proposed new micro-transformer structure realized with AlN and PZT thin layers deposed by sputtering. These manufacturing process are compatible with silicon technologies and with the constraints of micro-machining. An original prototype has been realized and characterized.
